So I'm sure everyone is familiar with the Polaris Ranger, Polaris RZR, Yamaha Rhino, Kawasaki Mule, Can-Am Commander right? These are all great utvs from brands we know and love, but they come with a pretty heavy price tag (like the Can-Am Commander, retailing at just under $20,000. Yes, I'm serious, $20,000 for a UTV) But what about the brands that you don't know about? We've all heard the horror stories about someone buying knock-off Chinese brand ATV or UTV, and it turns out to be a complete piece of garbage and a waste of thousands of dollars. What I'm going to tell you about is the one that's not complete crap and is tried, true and a real bargain. The expression "You get what you pay for" holds true in most situations in life, but not this one. CF Moto is the top selling scooter, ATV and UTV brand in china. In case you didn't know this, China is almost the same exact size as the USA but has A LOT more people, and just as many UTV and ATV manufacturers to go with it.
The 2011 CF Moto Z6 is a single cylinder 600cc, electronic fuel injected, two seater side by side utility vehicle with 39.01 horsepower, CVT transmission, independent front and rear suspension, four wheel disc brakes, selectable 2 wheel drive, 4 wheel drive and 4 wheel drive locking differential. It comes standard with 5 point harnesses, 2 rear view mirrors, full front windshield with rubber splash guard, hard top roof, adjustable OS handle and hydraulically adjustable tilt steering wheel, 14" aluminum alloy rims and 24" meaty tires with 1" of tread, cargo bed (with more room than the RZR) with included cargo net, two side nets for driver and passenger, 2500lb winch with winch controller, 12v DC outlet, HUGE LCD display with speedometer, odometer, clock, engine temperature, gas gauge, gear selection gauge, 4x4, 2x4 or locked differential displays, high beams, low beams and parking lights, turn signals, hazard lights, horn,, check engine light, adjustable seats, dual radiators, unheard of 1 year parts and labor warranty, car style parking brake, selectable L-H-N-R gears, full beefy roll cage, pre-drilled holes (some with threaded inserts) for add ons and accessories, street legal where available, steel front and rear bumpers and a whole lot more...yes, really there's more, just too much to list. Those are the main and most important features of the Z6. I personally own this UTV and have also had an RZR, Ranger,Rhino and Mule, and I must say the Z6 just as good or better. My Z6 keeps right up with my friend's RZR when we are riding. It climbs up steep hills, goes through water, climbs rocks, and will take whatever you and mother nature can dish out. It has a top speed of around 60mph, and it accelerates to top speed in around 7 and a half seconds. Now it's not exactly as fast or powerful as the 800cc or 900cc twin cylinder RZR, but it is definitely a worthy opponent, and for thousands of dollars less.
The only thing that I don't like about the Z6 is it's lack of accessories that can be added to it. As of right now, there are NO accessories on the market that are specifically made for the Z6. However, I have spoken to CF Moto and they are due to come out shortly. This UTV also does not have a PARK position in the transmission. You can put it in neutral and apply the parking brake, but you can't actually shift into park, which I wasn't too thrilled about. There are several other Chinese brand UTV's on the market today such as Hisun, Haisen, Kandi, Linhai, ODES, MXR, Hyosung etc. I have tried out most of the Chinese brands on the market today, and with the slight exception of Hisun, none of those UTVS even comes close to matching the CF Moto Z6. As far as price, value, power, features, speed, handling, versatility and safety, there just is no comparison on the market today. The Z6 retails for about $8000 fully loaded with all options mentioned above. I Highly recommend checking one out, it'll be well worth your time!
